Since launching our senior transportation service on June 1, we've been hearing a consistent message from families in Tracy, Manteca, and Livermore.
Families tell us they value having someone behind the wheel who also understands caregiving. Someone who knows how to assist an older adult getting in and out of the vehicle, recognizes when extra support may be needed, and understands that the experience begins before the car starts moving.
For clients who need additional support, a caregiver can also accompany them during the trip and to an appointment when arranged.
We've also received calls from families in Brentwood asking when this type of service may become available in their community.
These conversations continue to remind us that, for many older adults, transportation isn't just about getting from one place to another. It's about safety, dignity, companionship, and giving families confidence while their loved one is away from home.
